"Cut up the credit card" has been Arnold Schwarzenegger's fiscal mantra since before he was elected governor in October 2003. What constitutes cutting up the credit card is in the eye of the cardholder, but traditionally the process involves scissors, resulting in the termination of spending money one doesn't have. This is what the GOP governor said it meant in his January 2004 State of the State speech shortly after taking office. "When individuals overspend themselves into trouble, financial counselors often tell them to consolidate their credit card balances so they can work their way out of trouble, and also tear up their credit cards." The $15 billion bond approved by voters in March of that year to pay down California's persistent gap between spending commitments and revenue collections was the same kind of consolidation, Schwarzenegger said.
Use Caution When Buying Real Estate in Mexico
So, exactly what are the qualifications for being a broker or agent in Mexico? They are essentially the same; one must know how to read and write, have free time and the ability to put a “For Sale" sign in the front yard or show a listed property, and should have access to a car and be able to drive. In Mexico, the term “broker" refers to the boss or the owner of the agency and the term “agent" refers to the employee. With the booming real estate market and economy in PV that exists today and the qualifications listed above, it's quite obvious why we have such a diverse group of agents and brokers in Vallarta. The off-the-cuff babbling by many of the agents is so often inaccurate or misleading that it can easily result in placing the buyer or seller in intolerable predicaments.
Todd: The power of candidate branding
He spent more time trying to prove he was a status-quo Republican instead of proving he was a competent innovator. Now, he's trying to go back and prove that he's the closest thing to a change agent the GOP has right now. The sad thing for Romney is that, arguably, that was true 11 months ago. But now, after all the re-branding campaigns to prove that he was a conservative, a Reagan-Bush Republican, Romney's lost the credibility to argue that he can be a change agent. He attempted to run two simultaneous bio campaigns, one on the Republican front and one on the personal front. Romney's opponents had a field day finding contradiction on the Republican front and it drowned out his attempts on the personal front. And this explains why he's struggling in New Hampshire. These voters thought they knew Romney; he was a neighboring favorite son; a moderate, pro-business Republican.
Study names Facebook and MySpace 'types'

The first group which emerged were the "Netrepreneurs", people who accessed the sites for the sole purpose of making money. .
Globes try to save show with new format
Last updated January 7, 2008 3:38 p.m. PT Globes try to save show with new format By LYNN ELBER AP TELEVISION WRITER LOS ANGELES -- The Golden Globes and NBC were on the verge Monday of scrapping the traditional show format, which would be picketed by striking writers, in favor of a news-conference approach, a person close to the awards broadcast said Monday. Faced with a threat by actors to boycott the ceremony rather than cross picket lines, organizers were forced to look at other approaches that would preserve the star power of the unofficial kickoff to the Hollywood awards season. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which owns the Globes, was trying to reach an agreement on a revamped format with NBC, which was to air the Jan.
Computerworld's Mac gift guide
Since we mentioned Time Machine as a reason to give Apple's latest operating system, let's move on to another smart gift idea for Leopard users (or as a companion gift to the operating system): a large-capacity external hard drive. Time Machine makes backing up easy, but it's best to use it with an external hard drive. The bigger the drive, the better the safety net Time Machine can provide. So, how big is too big? There's no such a thing as too big when it comes to data storage. However, a 500GB drive is probably ample for most Mac users to maintain solid backups of their systems and digital media such as photos, movies and music. Apple's online store currently offers a deal on a 500GB USB 2.0 drive from Iomega —priced at $169.95—that's worth considering. iLife '08 Many Apple fans went out and bought copies of iLife '08 when it shipped in August, but as with Leopard, there are no doubt a number of Mac users who didn't upgrade immediately, figuring that they'd get a new version of iLife with their next Mac.
